Here's a chance for you to contribute.

What we love about the web is the opportunity to share our thoughts with others. But we also like to hear what others think and to exchange ideas.

On this page, we'll share some of the comments we've received. Where appropriate, we'll include a link to the original article, review, or interview that provoked the comment. In some cases, we also may respond to the comments.

Here we have a comment from our old friend Skippin' Frames

Dear Dr. Kilgore,

How dare you call me a moron. I had a legitimate question and you berated me. I think you are a jerk.   If this is the way you are going to treat all your emails I don't see your site lasting very long.   Your answer was correct but you had no right to bash me in front of what could be billiuons of people.   The next time I have a question I won't be coming to your site, and I'm going to tell all my friends to not come to your site too.

Captain Bob,

Thanks for your response. It was helpful and courteous. Maybe you will rub off on your partner and he will be less of an ass in .the future.

Cordially,
Pete Milipadas (Skippin' Frames in Boca Raton)

Dr. Kilgore says:

Well, not only is he a moron for putting his real name and where he lives but he can't spell billions either. I firmly believe that if you don't take the time to do some research then you can't ask an intelligent question. It wasn't anything personal, ok so maybe it was, but get over it. I answered your question didn't I? I may be a bit harsh, but thats who I am. At any rate another (dis)satisfied customer.

Captain Bob says:

Well Skippin' thats about as close to an apology as you will ever see from the good doctor. I'm glad our advice could help.

P.S. I won't be rubbing anything on Dr. Kilgore (I'm not into that kind of thing). :)

Here's a comment from a NEWBIE!

Your Name : Aaron
Your Email Address : xosyrasx@yahoo.com
Comments : Hey, I record a tv show that was an hour long using my tv tuners software, the file was saved in mpeg2 i believe and it's 2.2 gigs? I have no clue why its that big anyways. I want to encode it into DiVx, I tried with flashmpeg and adobe priemere, but I get an error saying not enough disk space or the video comes out all fucked up. How do i make my record movies into divx, please help I'm a noob

Dr. Kilgore says:

Yes an hour of mpeg2 video should be about 2.2 GB, its a low compression algorithm. In order to make the files you record from your TV into divx, you should record them as mpeg1 files, then you can drop them into a program like VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org) and convert them to DiVx AVI files, assuming you have the divx codec installed.

Captain Bob says:

A great site for tutorials is www.vcdhelp.com. They also have links to just about every conversion program and codec out there. Hope this helps. Dr. Kilgore & Captian Bob
